An act to amend Section 8725 of the Business and Professions Code, relating to professions.

SB 1099, as introduced, Cannella. Land surveyors.

The Professional Land Surveyors’ Act establishes the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists within the Department of Consumer Affairs for the licensure and regulation of land surveyors and requires any person practicing, or offering to practice, land surveying in the state to submit evidence that he or she is qualified to practice and to be licensed under the act.

This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to this provision.

SECTION 1.  

Section 8725 of the Business and Professions

is amended to read:

8725.  

Any person practicing, or offering to practice, land
4surveying in this state shall submit evidence that he or she is
5qualified to practice and shall be licensed under this chapter.

6It is unlawful for any person to practice, offer to practice, or
7representbegin delete himself or herself,end deletebegin insert herself or himself,end insert as a land surveyor
8in this state, or to set, reset, replace, or remove any survey
9monument on land in which he or she has no legal interest, unless
