California Legislature—2015–16 Regular Session

Assembly BillNo. 2422

Introduced by Assembly Member Jones

February 19, 2016

An act to amend Section 2004 of the Business and Professions Code, relating to healing arts.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST

AB 2422, as introduced, Jones. Medical Board of California.

Existing law, the Medical Practice Act, provides for the licensure and regulation of physicians and surgeons by the Medical Board of California. Under existing law, the board is responsible for, among other things, enforcement of the disciplinary and criminal provisions of the act and approving undergraduate and graduate medical education programs.

This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that provision.
