An act to amend Section 66702 of the Government Code, relating to the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority.

AB 746, as introduced, Ting. San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority.

Existing law establishes the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority as a regional entity with jurisdiction extending throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and specifies that the authority is responsible for raising and allocating resources for the restoration, enhancement, protection, and enjoyment of wetlands and wildlife habitats in the San Francisco Bay and along its shoreline. Existing law further prescribes the membership and functions and duties of the authority.

This bill would make a nonsubstantive change in those provisions establishing the authority.

Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.  

Section 66702 of the Government Code is

(a) The San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority is
4hereby established as a regional entity with jurisdictionbegin delete extendingend delete

P2    1(b) The jurisdiction of the authority is not subject to the
2Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act
3of 2000 (Division 3 (commencing with Section 56000) of Title 5).

4(c) The authority’s purpose is to raise and allocate resources for
5the restoration, enhancement, protection, and enjoyment of
6wetlands and wildlife habitats in the San Francisco Bay and along
7its shoreline.
