No Reimbursable:
SUMMARY
This bill requires oil refiners, gasoline marketers, and storage
facility operators to submit a weekly report to the California
Energy Commission (CEC), providing refinery inventory levels,
the amount of gasoline imported and exported, and the amount of
crude oil imported.
FISCAL EFFECT
Negligible fiscal impact.
COMMENTS
Purpose . In its report to the governor on the recent gasoline
and diesel price spikes, the CEC suggested that it needs
information on a weekly basis from oil producers, refiners,
marketers, transporters, and storage facility operators. The CEC
noted that it must be able to track inventory levels at
terminals better as well as imports and exports of petroleum
products.
