Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control: revenue sources: study. Existing law requires the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to administer the provisions of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act. This bill would require the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to conduct a study to identify potential revenue sources, as specified, to fund its programs and systems. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: yes. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control shall conduct a study to identify potential revenue sources to fund its programs and systems, including, but not limited to, both of the following: (a) Those revenues that could be derived from the issuance of alcoholic beverage licenses made available by the department as part of a secondary priority drawing process. (b) Revenue sources identified pursuant to Sections 19 and 20 of Chapter 488 of the Statutes of 2001.
